our little town recently completed a big construction project where they added a beautiful wooden pavilion and ampitheater to host the weekly farmers market and various festivals throughout the year.
the girls and i got an early start on the day, counted up our quarters, and followed the sound of the string band pickin' away down the street for live music, vegetable plants, and a few flowers for the clubhouse.
it's so nice to have such a great venue right down the street from us and i must say, 5.00 is a small price to pay for grow-your-own happiness and a special rendition of "there ain't no bugs on me" for your girls to dance along to. the girls had a blast stompin' around and running up and down the aisles. cameron, who felt right at home, ended up kicking her shoes off.
we have yet to get baths, eat breakfast, or accomplish any cleaning (today's big task)... but atleast we have the prettiest organic lettuce to accompany our tacos for our belated cinco de mayo fiesta tonight.
i hope everyone has a lovely weekend and a mother's day filled with lots of x's and o's.
if you're in the same boat as me and feel as if you have a mile long list with no time to complete it, try throwing a little hank into the mix. he's good for a smile and slowing things down <3
ps: i've learned how to add music... y`all are in real trouble now!
Wow, I really wish we had something like this around here! I would love to be able to walk to the farmer's market, it's so great that your little ones get to grow up with that!
ReplyDeleteLOVE ♥ the one of them walking up the steps. dangit i want a little girl!!
ReplyDeleteOh that is just like the pavillion in the little town right next to ours! Our farmer's market is at an odd time (at least for this working momma), so we don't usually get to go. I guess that is why I should be greatful for our land. But there is something just so nice about being able to go and get produce from an 80 year old man whose hands look like they stay buried in his dirt.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful way to start off your day!
ReplyDeletehappy mother's day!
Can I move next to you? Please? :)
